TALKNTAP THERAPY FOR THE YOUNG

TALKING & TAPPING IN THERAPY
TALKING

At the core of the approach is cognitive behavioural therapy, and humanistic principles—recognising that past experiences shape behaviour, and that behaviour can be changed by addressing emotional responses through reason and insight.

Speaking with a trained professional who is completely outside your personal life and bound by confidentiality provides a safe and supportive space to express concerns that might otherwise remain unspoken. This freedom often brings a deep sense of relief and can greatly enhance emotional wellbeing.

An objective, qualified counsellor can help identify the root causes of negative thoughts and behaviours and offer fresh perspectives and strategies to overcome them—restoring clarity, energy, and balance to daily life.

Talking can often uncover deeper emotional patterns, which can then be effectively resolved using EFT Tapping.

TAPPING (EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique)

EFT involves gently tapping on the body’s meridian points using your fingertips while focusing on a specific issue. This stimulates the body’s natural healing energy, offering a fast, non-invasive, drug-free, and lasting solution to emotional distress.

Tapping quickly calms overwhelming emotions, allowing the mind and body to reset and heal. During the process, emotions are acknowledged and validated—then released—clearing energetic disruptions and restoring emotional balance.

EFT is simple to learn, suitable for all ages, and can be self-applied anytime, anywhere. It also supports long-term change by rewiring the brain—breaking old, unhelpful neural patterns and forming new, positive connections that support wellbeing and resilience.
